Why You Should Use Hello Audio to Create a Private Podcast Feed for Clients

There are 2 main things that every service provider strives to do:

  1. Perform your services amazingly.

  2. Give your clients an even more amazing experience working with you.

Unfortunately, number 2 falls short way too often for so many service-based business owners. Even though you’re the bomb at what you do, it isn’t just about your skill set when it comes to working with clients. You could be the #1 service provider in your industry, but if there’s someone else whose services are above par yet they always provide a phenomenal experience for their clients, they’re going to get the most business.

It all comes down to simple science-- humans like to feel good. They like to be happy and have positive experiences. It doesn’t always matter if the work is perfect, it’s how they felt during that process.

We love to go all-in when it comes to providing exceptional, VIP client experiences. And one of those ways is by harnessing the power of a private podcast using Hello Audio.

If that sounds totally wacky, keep reading to find out why it’s actually a great idea, plus some tips and ideas for how you can implement a private podcast in your business!

Are Private Podcasts the Start of a New Trend?

Not everyone is going above and beyond for their clients in this way. Providing a private podcast feed (meaning only your clients can access it) brings a fresh, totally unique spin on caring for your clients. This is something that they’ll rave about to the other dream clients in their network, bringing you referrals by the bucketful.

Think of it this way: There are probably hundreds of other service providers with the exact same offerings as you. In this day and age, when so many more people are waking up to the possibilities of starting their own service-based business, it’s more crucial than ever to find ways to stand out from the crowd.

The best way to stand out is by focusing on the experience you provide. The experience is the one thing that can truly be unique to just your business. The way you care for your clients, how you get them their deliverables, how you set expectations, how you equip them with what they need to work with you, all of those factors tie into what you’re selling in the end. What harm is there in trying something new to catch prospects’ attention?

How to Use a Private Podcast Feed for Your Clients

The software we use for our private podcast is called Hello Audio. We love it because we’re able to generate unique links for each individual, so only they can actually access it. Once they do, they’re able to download the podcast feed to any player they prefer, whether it’s Spotify, Apple, Google, Audible, etc.

You don’t even need any sort of fancy recording equipment. You can easily take audio from anywhere and upload it to Hello Audio, whether it’s a Loom recording, a Zoom recording, a YouTube video, anything.

Listen, we aren’t saying that you need to use this private podcast as a replacement for materials or deliverables you currently have in place, but it can be an amazing aid. Not every client is the best at reading things, no matter if it’s an email, a presentation, or a PDF. People absorb information in different ways, so having a sort of reinforcement to ensure the info you need to get to them is actually getting to them can be a total gamechanger.

CREATE AN ONBOARDING SERIES

You likely already send some sort of Onboarding Guide or email that lays out information they need to know about what’s next and what to expect before you begin working. There’s probably even some client homework they need to get done. But how hard is it usually to get clients to actually look at that guide or read that email?

With a private podcast feed, you could create a simple series of quick episodes that outline all of the information you send over in that guide or email. You could have an episode that lays out your process of working, an episode for their homework, one for expectations and boundaries, the list goes on. You have the control and free will to make the onboarding series whatever you think will be the easiest for clients to process, and they can listen on the go.

PUT A FUN SPIN ON FAQS

How many times do you catch yourself answering the same exact questions over and over again for clients, even if the answers are already available somewhere else? If you wanted to create a series dedicated to answering those questions, or even just one episode laying them all out, you absolutely could.

CREATE A FEED FOR WARM PROSPECTS

How cool would it be to have a short series to send to warm prospects that lays out all the info they need to know about working with you? They could listen at their own time and learn what it’s like to work with you, what their results could look like, what your process is like, and next steps to take if they want to book.

USE IT AS A BRIDGE IN YOUR PROCESS

There have been plenty of times for us in the past where we’ve had to turn down clients because they just weren’t at the stage we needed them to be in. Or even if we were to onboard a client, we’ve thought to ourselves “Man, I wish they’d gotten started on this first” or “I wish their headspace was here” or “I wish this foundation was already built over there, so then I could really step in and shine”. Why not help them do that with a podcast series?

You could use a podcast series as a pre-work reinforcement to help clients really be prepared for you to come in and work your magic. Or perhaps you have a next step after working with you, like perhaps another high-ticket project or type of more advanced services. You could use your feed as a way to prime them for that next step.

What Will Give Clients the Most Value?

What’s the golden stage in your business where you could add extra value? Is it before they book, right when they dive in, during the process, or after the process? Pick just one area where you can add a little extra value, where they can hear from you and implement from you with a podcast feed. We promise it’s going to be all the rage to your clients.
